Cut Your Own and Save! Rib Roast, Loin Chops, Sirloin Roast Freezing Instructions 1. Tightly wrap the roast or chops in plastic food wrap or place in zippered bags. Try to remove as much air as possible to prevent freezer burn. 2. Wrap in butcher paper and seal with masking tape. 3. Label packages with the cut and date using a permanent marker. 4. For best quality, place in freezer in a single layer for quick freezing. Use within one year for bost quality; however, frozen meat stored constantly at 0°F or below will always be safe to eat.
